Review: White House Down (2013) 1/2 (out of 4) According to Roger Ebert, I hated, hated, hated this movie. Roland Emmerichs last disaster of a police officer (Channing Tatum) who takes his daughter on a trip to the White House when a suicide to take it over and try to take the President (Jamie Foxx) hostage. Now cop whose daughter really can not stand him, try to impress her, save the day, and her favorite president. To begin, go see OLYMPUS fell like it much better fighters and deals with the same subject. I'm sorry, but if Emmerich film made in the 70s Theyd be happy to play the third bill to disk immediately before the sun rises. I really can not wrap my brain around how someone can make such bad movies in a row. He does it on purpose? Of course he did not do this movie so bad that it does not do it on purpose. Everything from the story to act the effects of CGI is just simply bad, and it all has Emmerichs style for him. I mean, we were not really supposed to find this movie touching and patriotic? Fox's character is obviously inspired by Obama, but if there was to be a tribute, they could not because it feels very uncomfortable. Worse bits of comedy that features some of the worst jokes Youre heard. Even worse horrific scenes with some of the worst looking CGI effects of actions that you are going to see this side of production SyFy. So, you have an awful subplot dealing with the police teenage daughter, who is a full brother, but they try to do it as a kind of patriotic hero. All this bit of history is just full of confusion, and it made me cringe when I saw it. I will not cry actor, but it was just a really bad situation that the director puts it in, and it's almost as bad as Jaden Smith in AFTER EARTH. Let us pray that they will never unite. Both Tatum and Fox managed only by raising wages and good character actors like James Woods, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Allen Jenkins is simply lost in useless roles. There are moments here that are so incredibly bad that I could not help but laugh at them, but unfortunately the film is too long to enjoy it as a horror movie with laughter.
